Arby's Menu With Prices In Canada

Arby's prints most of its Canadian menu twice — once as a sandwich, once as a "Meal" — and the difference between the two is almost always $5.50 exactly. Beef 'n Cheddar $6.88 and $12.38. Roast Beef Double $8.20 and $13.70. Reuben $9.30 and $14.80. Once you know that number, 93 items collapse into about 40 decisions.

The exceptions to $5.50 are minor and all land just under it: the Roast Beef Classic goes $5.84 to $11.28 ($5.44), the French Dip 'n Swiss Classic $8.79 to $14.25 ($5.46), Crispy Chicken $8.24 to $13.70 ($5.46), and the Triple Cheese Turkey BLT $10.40 to $15.79 ($5.39). Nothing on the menu charges more than $5.50 to add the sides.

Whether that is worth it is answerable from the same tables. Medium Curly Fries are $3.84 and a medium fountain drink is $3.19, which is $7.03 bought separately against $5.50 inside a meal — a saving of roughly $1.53 every time.

The roast beef ladder

Nine sandwiches carry the slow-roasted beef, and they step up in a readable order. Roast Beef Classic $5.84, Beef 'n Cheddar $6.88, Roast Beef Double $8.20, French Dip 'n Swiss Classic $8.79, then a cluster at $9.30 (Three Cheese & Bacon, Beef 'n Cheddar Double), Roast Beef Half Pound $9.85, Beef 'n Cheddar Half Pound $10.95 and French Dip 'n Swiss Half Pound $11.50. The half-pound version of a sandwich runs about $1.65 above the double.

Chicken is a shorter list at $8.24 for Crispy Chicken or three Chicken Strips, $9.34 for Chicken Bacon Swiss or the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The Savoury Selections — Reuben $9.30, Roast Turkey Ranch and Bacon $10.40, Triple Cheese Turkey BLT $10.40 — are the most expensive sandwiches before you add a meal to them, and a Roast Turkey Ranch and Bacon Sandwich Meal at $15.90 is the top of the everyday menu. The one thing above it is the $17.00 French Dip 'n Swiss Half Pound Meal.

Everyday Value and the bottom of the list

Three items make up the value section and they include the cheapest thing Arby's sells: a Jr. Roast Beef at $2.84, a Jr. Buffalo Chicken at $3.74 and a Jr. with Cheddar at $3.94. Turnovers are $3.09 in apple, blueberry or cherry, and Curly Fries are $3.84 medium and $4.39 large. Poutine appears twice on the Loaded Fries list — Curly Fries Poutine at $6.19 alongside Loaded Curly Fries at the same price, and a Montreal Smoked Meat Poutine at $9.64.

Twenty-seven drinks, two prices

The Beverages section looks enormous and is not. Ten fountain flavours — Coca-Cola, Cherry Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Strawberry Fruitopia, Barq's, Gold Peak Lemon Ice Tea, Fanta Orange, Minute Maid Lemonade — are each listed at $3.19 for a medium 22oz and $3.74 for a large 32oz. That accounts for 20 of the 27 lines. The rest are milk and chocolate milk at $2.99, bottled juice and Monster at $4.09, and DASANI water and Vitamin Water at $3.43. Handcrafted Shakes are $5.74 small and $6.84 large in orange cream, vanilla or chocolate.

The Limited Time Offers section is the only place where the meal maths shifts: a Crispy Fish is $7.39 and its meal $12.99, a gap of $5.60.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Arby's Canadian restaurants are franchised and each operator prices its own board, so a location in a busy urban corridor will typically read higher than the figures here and a smaller market lower. Everything is quoted before GST, HST or PST. The $5.50 meal upgrade and the flat fountain-drink pricing are the parts worth remembering, because those relationships survive a price change even when the individual numbers do not.
