East Side Mario’s Menu With Prices in Canada

The most useful column on East Side Mario's menu is the Lunch section, because it re-prices dishes that appear a few sections earlier. Linguine Chicken Tetrazzini is $22.49 under Pasta and $13.99 under Lunch. Same name, $8.50 apart.

Nine of the thirteen Lunch entries are smaller servings of full-size pasta plates, and the discount holds across all of them: Double-Bacon Carbonara and Linguine Chicken Amatriciana drop from $22.49 to $13.99, Cheese Cappelletti from $21.99 to $13.99, Sausage & Peppers Penne from $21.49 to $13.99, and Scallop Carbonara — the most expensive pasta at $25.99 — becomes $14.99. Two Lunch items are priced above the $13.99 floor for other reasons: Spaghetti Bolognese and Roasted Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo are $16.99 there, and Junior Chicken Parmigiana is $17.99 against $24.99 for Mario's Chicken Parmigiana.

Group orders are sold as whole tables

Thirteen items in Family & Group Meals are priced by how many people they feed rather than by what is in them. Italian Dinner For Two is $36.99 and Mario's Chicken Parmigiana Dinner For Two is $55.00. The Famiglia Pizza Combo serves 2 to 4 at $35.00; Family Pasta Deal and Family Pasta and Pizza Deal each serve 4 at $45.99. At the top, Large Pasta Pans are $49.00, The Gigantic Combo $60.00 and the Group Meal $65.00, which is the highest price anywhere on this menu.

Pizza is a two-size decision

Five specialty pizzas — Balsamic Pesto, Loaded Pepperoni, The Ultimate Canadian, Four Meat and Hawaiian Heat — are $16.99 at 10 inches and $24.99 at 14 inches, an $8.00 step that never varies. Build Your Own is $22.99 at 14 inches, and the 10" Cauliflower Crust Pizza is $21.99, meaning a small cauliflower-crust pie costs $5 more than a small regular one and only $3 less than a 14-inch.

Small money, and a section that reads like a calendar

42 items are under $5, and the Side Orders list accounts for most of them: 2 oz dips at $1.19 each, 3 oz sauces at $1.49, Extra Shredded Parmesan Cheese and Add Homeloaf at $1.99, and Mario's Potatoes, Side Vegetables and French Fries at $3.99. Sweets go almost as low — Mini Tiramisu, Mini Cheesecake and Mini Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake are $2.99 each, with the Mini Dessert Trio at $8.49.

The Daily Deals section is the one place the tables cannot really explain themselves: it lists four weekdays with a price attached — Monday at $10.00, Tuesday at $2.00, Wednesday at $19.99 and Thursday at $50.00 — and no dish. Read those as the price point attached to that day's offer, not as the cost of a specific plate.

Do prices vary across Canada?

East Side Mario's restaurants are operated by franchisees across the country, and dine-in boards frequently differ from what the same location shows on a delivery app. Prices in Ontario, where the chain is densest, tend to be the reference point; Alberta and Atlantic locations can sit either side of it. Nothing here includes provincial or federal sales tax, and the Daily Deals figures reflect that day's promotion rather than a fixed dish.
