Starbucks Menu With Prices In Canada

The Canadian Starbucks list runs to 677 rows across 18 sections, but 459 of those rows are the same 137 drinks written out once per cup size. Read it that way and a menu that looks unmanageable turns into a short list of beverages and a size ladder that costs roughly a dollar to climb.

Take the Caffè Americano. Short (236 ml) is $3.55, Tall (354 ml) is $3.65, Grande (473 ml) is $4.25 and Venti (591 ml) is $4.65. The step from Short to Tall is a dime; the step from Tall to Grande is sixty cents. A Caffè Latte and a Cappuccino are priced identically to each other at every size — $4.55, $4.65, $4.95 and $5.45 — and a Chai Tea Latte tracks a little above that, topping out at $5.75 for a Venti. Iced drinks get a 709 ml Venti instead of 591 ml, and the iced Americano, at $3.95 to $4.75, sits below its hot counterpart at the Tall size and above it at Venti.

The cheapest cup in the building is drip coffee. Pike Place® Roast and its decaf version both start at $2.65 for a Short and reach only $3.45 at Venti, which makes a Venti of brewed coffee cheaper than a Short of anything espresso-based.

Which sections are dear and which are not

Averaged across their rows, the drink sections separate cleanly:

  • Hot Teas — 48 rows, $2.55 to $5.75, averaging $3.80
  • Hot Tea & Lemonade — 70 rows, $2.45 to $7.75, averaging $5.07
  • Hot Coffees — 100 rows, $2.65 to $19.95, averaging $5.36
  • Cold Coffees — 105 rows, $3.25 to $8.45, averaging $5.76
  • Frappuccino® Blended Beverages — 63 rows, $5.65 to $7.25, averaging $6.35
  • Starbucks Refreshers® Beverages — 96 rows, $4.95 to $8.75, averaging $6.54

Nothing in the Refreshers list dips below $4.95, which makes it the only beverage section with no cheap entry point at all.

The 42 items over $10 are almost never drinks

Of 677 rows, 258 are priced under $5 and 635 under $10. The handful above that line are mostly things you carry out of the store rather than drink in it: 17 bags of Whole Bean coffee at $18.95 or $19.95, four VIA® Instant boxes at $15.95 to $16.95, four Teavana® teas all at $11.95, and a Merchandise section that runs from a $19.95 cold cup to a $42.95 one. The four Coffee Traveller boxes at $19.95 apiece are the only prepared beverages that break $10.

Food is a small corner of the list. Bakery is 26 items between $1.95 and $4.45 — a Petite Vanilla Bean Scone at $1.95, a Cheese Danish at $3.65. Breakfast and Lunch share several rows, including the Turkey, Provolone & Pesto on Ciabatta at $7.95, which is the most expensive single food item and appears in both sections. The floor for food is $1.50, for the Avocado Spread.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Starbucks Canada operates company-owned cafés alongside licensed stores inside grocery chains, airports, campuses and hotels, and licensed locations are not bound to the corporate price list. Airport and campus kiosks in particular tend to sit above the figures here. Everything quoted is pre-tax, so the total also moves with your province. The size ladder is the durable part: even where the absolute numbers differ, the gap between a Tall and a Venti stays close to a dollar.

Starbucks — frequently asked questions

How much is a Grande at Starbucks in Canada?
It depends on the drink, but the common ones sit between $4 and $5.50: a Grande Caffè Americano is $4.25, a Grande Caffè Latte and a Grande Cappuccino are both $4.95, a Grande Chai Tea Latte is $5.45, and a Grande Pike Place® Roast is $2.95.
What does a Venti cost compared with a Tall?
Usually about a dollar more. A Caffè Americano goes from $3.65 Tall to $4.65 Venti, and a Caffè Latte from $4.65 to $5.45. Hot Ventis are 591 ml and iced Ventis are 709 ml, so the iced size gains more volume for the same kind of step.
What is the cheapest coffee on the Canadian Starbucks menu?
A Short Pike Place® Roast at $2.65, decaf or regular. Even a Venti of it is $3.45, which is less than the smallest Caffè Latte.
How much is a Turkey, Provolone & Pesto on Ciabatta?
$7.95. It is listed under both Breakfast and Lunch, and it is the priciest single food item on the menu — the Lunch section otherwise averages $4.78.
Why does the Starbucks menu have 677 items?
Because each drink is listed once per cup size. 459 of the 677 rows carry a Short, Tall, Grande or Venti label, and they represent 137 distinct beverages. The remaining rows are food, packaged coffee and merchandise, which have no size variants.
