Order a Second Cup latte over ice and it costs exactly what the hot one costs. Small $3.95, medium $4.65, large $4.85, either way — and the same holds for the Vanilla Bean Latte, the Caramel Corretto and the Moccaccino. On a 221-item menu that is mostly the same drinks listed twice, that single fact removes half the guesswork.
The Cold Bar is the biggest section here with 57 items, just ahead of the Brew Bar's 51, and a good part of it mirrors the Espresso Bar line for line. Iced Caffe Latte: $3.95, $4.65, $4.85. Iced Vanilla Bean Latte, Iced Caramel Corretto and Iced Moccaccino: $4.45, $5.15, $5.35 — identical to their hot counterparts at every size. The flavoured versions carry a 50-cent premium over the plain latte, and that premium does not grow as the cup does.
Tea barely charges for size
The step between a small and a medium tea is ten cents. Every tea on the Brew Bar — English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chai, Green, Jasmine, Wildberry, Chamomile, Mint, Spiced Orange Rooibos, and the decaf versions — is $2.30, $2.40 and $2.70. Drip coffee moves more: $2.35, $2.75, $2.95, with decaf and flavoured coffee on the same three numbers. An Americano runs $2.75, $3.05, $3.35 and a straight Espresso $2.35, $2.65, $3.00.
Frappes, cold brew and what oat milk adds
Blended drinks are the top of the everyday range. Mocca, Caramel, Vanilla Bean, Chai Tea and Matcha Tea frappes plus the Chocolate FroCho are all $4.85, $5.25, $5.55; the Espresso Frappe undercuts them at $4.55, $5.00, $5.50. Flash Cold Brew starts at $3.40 unsweetened and $3.90 flavoured. The Oatmilk Mocca Flash Cold Brew is worth noting on its own: $4.10, $4.55, $5.05 against $3.90, $4.35, $4.85 for the dairy version — a flat 20 cents at every size.
Beans, and the one item over $15
Second Cup sells 15 whole-bean coffees at three price points: $14.95 for the Signature Series (La Minita Tarrazu, San Agustin, Cuzco, Rwanda Musasa), $12.50 for the Blends (Paradiso, Batch 49, Espresso Forte) and $12.35 for the flavoured bags. The most expensive line on the entire menu is not a bag though — it is Traveller Coffee at $17.95, the box that serves a room, available in light, medium or dark roast.
Food is a short list at flat prices
Six of the breakfast sandwiches are $5.25 apiece, with an Egg & Cheese at $4.25. Soups are $4.95, the pies and melts $7.25, and the Turkey Club, Chicken Caesar Wrap and Tuna Salad Wrap all $7.95. The 17-item Bakery counter runs $2.45 for a cookie to $5.25 for a cake slice, with most muffins at $2.70. A banana is $1.25 and the cheapest thing on the menu.
Pinkberry occupies its own seven-line section, where the pricing question is toppings: an Original Pinkberry is $4.45 plain and $6.35 with them, a $1.90 difference, and the frozen-yogurt smoothies are $6.75.
Do prices vary across Canada?
Second Cup cafes are largely franchise-owned and priced locally, so a big-city downtown counter and a small-town one will not always agree to the cent — and cafes inside airports, hospitals and universities sit higher again. Provincial sales tax is added at the till and is not in any figure here. The relationships are the durable part: iced costing the same as hot, a ten-cent gap between tea sizes, and a fixed premium for a flavour shot.
