Tim Hortons Menu With Prices In Canada

A single Timbit is $0.33. That is the floor of a 352-item menu, and 285 of those items still cost less than $5 — no other list on this site is both that long and that cheap. The ceiling is a $38.97 Family Bundle, but almost nobody arrives at Tim Hortons wondering about the ceiling. They want to know what a cup costs.

The coffee ladder, cup by cup

Brewed Coffee climbs in exact 24-cent steps: $1.59 small, $1.83 medium, $2.07 large, $2.35 extra large. Dark Roast Brewed Coffee sits on precisely the same four numbers, so switching roast costs nothing. Steeped Tea and Specialty Tea share a second ladder — $1.79, $1.99, $2.29, $2.59 — and Hot Chocolate a third, at $1.99 through $2.79.

Anything pulled from the espresso machine drops to three sizes and steps in bigger jumps. A Latte runs $2.99, $3.49, $3.99; an Americano $2.29, $2.79, $3.29; a Cappuccino matches the Latte exactly. Adding a flavour to a latte costs a flat 50 cents at every size — $3.49, $3.99, $4.49 for Mocha, Vanilla or Caramel. A single Espresso is $1.49 and a double $1.99, which makes the double the better arithmetic by 99 cents worth of nothing.

Iced Capp, and what the flavour costs

The Original Iced Capp is $2.99, $3.59 and $4.19 across small, medium and large — 60-cent steps, the widest on the beverage menu. Every flavoured version starts higher and converges: Mocha, Vanilla, OREO Double Stuf and the Nutella one all run $3.99, $4.49, $4.99. So flavour costs a dollar on a small and 80 cents on a large.

Buying by the box changes the maths

This is where the Donuts & Timbits section rewards reading. Timbits are $0.33 each, $2.99 for 10, $4.99 for 20 and $9.99 for 50 — that last box works out to just under 20 cents a piece, roughly 40 percent off the single price. Donuts move the other way, and less dramatically: $1.59 on their own, $7.79 for six, $13.99 for a dozen, or about $1.17 each. Muffins are $2.19 to $2.49 singly, $10.49 for six and $18.99 for twelve. Cookies split into two tiers, with a Chocolate Chunk at $1.49 and the branded Dream Cookies at $2.29.

What the 352 items actually are

Beverages account for 172 of them — 66 hot and 106 cold — which is why the price range feels so compressed. Food is the thinner half: 16 breakfast items topping out at $5.79 for the Maple Bacon Croissant sandwich, 27 lunch and dinner items where the dearest is a $9.99 Buffalo Ranch Chicken Loaded Wrap, and nine bagels priced $2.19 or $2.99 depending on whether they are the plain ones or the Four Cheese and Jalapeno Asiago.

The last two sections are not food at all. Tims at Home sells the coffee by the can and the K-Cup — $12.99 for a 400g bag, $24.99 for the 930g can — and 18 Merchandise lines run from a $0.50 reusable bag to a $34.99 40oz travel mug. Those, plus the $38.97 bundles, are the only reason the top of this menu clears $20.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Tim Hortons restaurants in Canada are overwhelmingly franchised, and individual owners set their own board prices. Highway, airport, campus and hospital locations tend to sit above what a suburban drive-thru charges, and the figures on this page are quoted before GST, HST or PST. Treat the numbers as the shape of the menu rather than a till receipt: the 24-cent step between coffee sizes and the discount on a 50-count Timbit box hold up even where the base price does not.
