Gong Cha Menu With Prices In Canada

Almost every drink Gong Cha sells in Canada appears twice — once as a Regular and once as a Large — and the difference is a very consistent 71 cents. That single number explains more of this 233-row menu than any individual flavour does.

The pattern holds right across the sections. A $5.50 Milk Tea is $6.21 large. A $6.40 Pearl Milk Tea is $7.11. A $5.00 Wintermelon Tea is $5.71, a $6.20 Milk Foam Brewed Tea is $6.91, a $6.80 Taro Red Bean Milk Tea is $7.51, a $7.30 3J Earl Grey Milk Tea is $8.01. Whatever the base, the upgrade costs the same. The Milk Teas section is the one place the rule bends — a few rows there, including Pearl Milk Tea and Wintermelon Milk Tea With Grass Jelly, list the Large 91 cents up rather than 71.

The second lever is what goes in the cup, and Gong Cha writes toppings into the drink name rather than charging for them separately. Plain Milk Tea is $5.50; Pearl Milk Tea is $6.40, so the pearls are 90 cents. Brown Sugar Milk Tea is $5.50 and Brown Sugar Oolong Milk Tea With 2J is $6.40. Passionfruit Green Tea is $5.50 and QQ Passionfruit Green Tea is $6.40. Adding milk foam moves a brewed tea from $5.00 to $6.20.

Where the ceiling is

Nothing here reaches $12. The dearest rows are the keepsake bottles: a Strawberry Almond Smoothie Love Potion Bottle at $11.50, the Strawberry Almond Milk Tea version at $10.30, and three Gingerbread Series drinks sold "With Bottle" at $10.60 to $11.40. Against that, the same Gingerbread Milk Tea in an ordinary cup is $6.00 regular and $6.71 large — so the bottle itself is doing most of the work in that price.

The only item under $5

227 of 233 rows land between $5 and $10, and exactly one item on the whole menu is cheaper than $5: the Original Croffle at $4.40. The other three croffles are $5.60 each, and the four Bubble Waffles run $6.00 for the Original and $6.80 for the matcha, chocolate and pearl versions. Those eight rows are the entire food menu.

The base teas are the value end of the drinks list. Brewed Tea, Wintermelon Tea, Honey Grapefruit Green Tea, Lemon Honey Green Tea and Strawberry Green Tea are all $5.00 regular and $5.71 large. The Oat Milk Series is the priciest routine choice, starting at $6.70 and reaching $7.71 for a large Honey, Brown Sugar or Caramel Oat Milk Tea.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Gong Cha Canada stores are individually operated, and bubble tea pricing tends to track local rent closely — a big-city downtown shop will usually post more than a suburban plaza location. Substitutions such as oat milk, and toppings ordered on top of a drink that does not already name them, may be charged at the counter even though they do not appear as their own rows here. All figures are before tax.

Gong Cha — frequently asked questions

How much more is a large at Gong Cha in Canada?
Usually 71 cents. A $5.50 drink is $6.21 large, a $6.40 drink is $7.11, a $6.80 drink is $7.51. A few rows in the Milk Teas section list a 91-cent gap instead, including Pearl Milk Tea at $6.40 regular and $7.31 large.
How much do pearls add to a Gong Cha drink?
About 90 cents. Milk Tea is $5.50 and Pearl Milk Tea is $6.40. Toppings are not priced separately — they are built into the drink name, so the topped version is simply a different row at a higher price.
What is the cheapest thing on the Gong Cha menu?
The Original Croffle at $4.40, and it is the only item on the menu under $5. The cheapest drinks are the plain brewed teas at $5.00 for a Regular — Brewed Tea, Wintermelon Tea, Strawberry Green Tea, Lemon Honey Green Tea and Honey Grapefruit Green Tea.
What is the most expensive Gong Cha drink?
The Strawberry Almond Smoothie Love Potion Bottle at $11.50, followed by the Strawberry Almond Milk Tea bottle at $10.30 and three Gingerbread Series drinks served with a bottle at $10.60 to $11.40. No drink on the menu passes $11.50.
Does Gong Cha Canada sell food as well as drinks?
A little. There are four Bubble Waffles ($6.00 to $6.80) and four Croffles ($4.40 to $5.60). Everything else on the 233-row menu is a beverage.
