OPA! Of Greece Menu With Prices In Canada

Every main at OPA! of Greece has a twin in the Combos section, and the twin costs three dollars more. Fifty items, ten sections, and that single $3.00 step is the decision most customers are actually making at the counter.

The arithmetic is almost mechanical. An OPA! Platter is $14.35 and the OPA! Platter Combo is $17.35. A Pita Wrap Meal is $13.35 and $16.35 with the combo. Souvlaki And Salad goes $12.75 to $15.75, Skewer And Salad $12.45 to $15.45, both Olympus Bowls $9.75 to $12.75, and the Mega Platter $18.80 to $21.80. Two rows break the pattern by twenty cents: the Spanakopita Meal moves $12.35 to $15.15 and Calamari And Salad $14.85 to $17.65, both a $2.80 step rather than $3.00.

Below the mains sits a Snack tier that is the same food in a smaller frame. A Pita Wrap on its own is $9.25 against $13.35 for the Pita Wrap Meal — a $4.10 gap. Calamari alone is $12.15 against $14.85 with salad. The Rice and Fry Snack Bowls are $6.70 each, against $9.75 for the full Olympus Bowls.

Sides and dips are the cheap half of the menu

Eighteen of the 50 items come in under $5, and the Sides and Extra sections hold most of them. Side Fries and Falafel Snack Bites are $5.00, a Side Souvlaki Skewer $5.25, Side Rice and Side Greek Roasted Potatoes & Tzatziki $4.40 each, Side Hummus & Pita $4.60 and Side Tzatziki & Pita $4.20. Dips are sold in two cup sizes, and the smaller one is the cheapest thing here: tzatziki or hummus is $1.39 for 1.5 oz and $2.49 for 4 oz, so roughly two and a half times the volume costs less than twice as much.

The three salads — Caesar, Greek and Santorini — are all $7.90, whichever you take. Kids Meals are $6.80 for grilled cheese and $7.70 for souvlaki. Bottled drinks run $3.05 for Dasani up to $3.45 for juice or Nestea, with the Coke family at $3.35. Baklava is $3.15 for one piece and $10.55 for a family pack.

Across the whole list the average lands at $8.57 and only 18 items break $10, which puts OPA! at the value end of the sit-down Mediterranean range even before the combos are factored in.

Do prices vary across Canada?

OPA! of Greece restaurants are franchised and a large share of them trade from shopping-centre food courts, where mall operating costs feed straight into the board price. Expect variation between a suburban food court and a street-front store, and between provinces. Sales tax is added at the till and differs across Canada. The internal steps — $3.00 for a combo, $4.10 between a wrap and a wrap meal — hold up better than the individual figures.
