Swiss Chalet Menu With Prices In Canada

The Quarter Chicken Dinner is still the reference point on a Swiss Chalet menu, and it is $14.99 for dark meat and $16.99 for white — a $2 premium for the breast. Move up to a Half Chicken Dinner and you are at $18.99, which is exactly what a Fish & Chips costs.

Beyond the rotisserie, the menu is built around combinations rather than single plates. A Chicken & Third Rack Combo is $22.99, half a rack of back ribs with a quarter chicken is $28.29, and half a rack with five wings is the same $28.29. Full Rack BBQ Back Ribs on their own are $29.29, so pairing ribs with something else costs less than a full rack of ribs.

The take-home format goes further. Family Pak is $39.99, Chicken & Wings Family Pak $47.49, Chicken & Back Ribs Family Pak $48.49, and the Deluxe Family Pak is the most expensive item on the menu at $56.49. The Game Day Deals section overlaps it: Game Day Classic $21.99, XL $24.49, Duo $38.49, Party Pak $37.99, Family Pak $49.99.

The same dish at two prices

One quirk of this menu is worth flagging before you plan an order. Rotisserie Chicken on a Bun and the Rotisserie Chicken Club Wrap both appear twice — $18.09 under Chalet Classics, $15.59 under Handhelds. The Quarter Chicken Dinner – White Meat shows the same split, $18.99 in one section and $16.99 in another. The tables below list each section as it is published, so read the section heading, not just the dish name.

Everything under a dollar

Swiss Chalet lists 44 items under $5 and the Sides section is where nearly all of them sit. A Chalet Dinner Roll is $0.49, the cheapest item on the board. Plum Sauce, Smoky BBQ Rib Sauce, sour cream and the three mayos are $0.69; a 4 oz Chalet Dipping Sauce and Home-Style Gravy are $0.99 each, as are all four salad dressings. Scale that dipping sauce up and it becomes a real purchase — 12 oz is $2.99 and a 32 oz tub is $7.99.

Standard hot sides are flat-rated at $3.49: fries, seasoned fries, garlic green beans, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, oven-baked potato, coleslaw and market vegetables all cost the same. Sweet Potato Fries at $5.98 and a Loaded Baked Potato at $5.48 are the upgrades.

The kids' entrees run $8.99 to $9.99, and desserts are $5.49 for the pies and $6.99 for the cheesecake and mini-donuts.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Swiss Chalet menus differ by province and by whether you are dining in, taking out or ordering through a delivery platform, and the chain runs limited-time sections — the Seafood Fest and Game Day Deals here are examples — that come and go. Treat these as indicative rather than a quote for your local restaurant. All figures are pre-tax.
