Harvey’s Menu With Prices In Canada

Harvey's sells the same four burgers twice. There is an Original line and an Angus line, built identically — plain, with cheese, with cheese and bacon, doubled — and the Angus version costs exactly 80 cents more until you double the patty, at which point the gap widens to $1.70. That parallel is the spine of a 145-item menu on which 98 items cost under $5.

Laid side by side the two lines read like this. Original Burger $6.39 against Angus Burger $7.19. Original with Cheese $7.19 against Angus with Cheese $7.99. Original with Cheese & Bacon $8.49 against Angus with Cheese & Bacon $9.29. Eighty cents, three times over. Then the doubles diverge: a Double Original is $7.79 and a Double Angus $9.49, and a BIG Harv Original is $9.09 against $10.79 for the Angus. The Veggie Burger matches the plain Original at $6.39.

Harv's Value Picks is the cheap menu, all in one place

Twenty-one items live here and most of the sub-$5 menu with them. A Jr. Burger is $2.79, the least expensive food Harvey's sells. Cheese takes it to $3.19, bacon to $4.09, and doubling the whole thing lands at $5.09 for a Double Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger — which is still under the price of the smallest full-size burger.

The same section holds Regular Fries and Regular Onion Rings at $3.79, both large at $4.59, Frings at $4.39, Deep Fried Pickles at $4.19 and a Side Salad at $4.49. It also quietly holds the dessert list: an Apple Pie at $1.79, a 2 Pie Combo at $2.79, four donuts for $2.19 or eight for $3.79. Gravy on its own is $0.99.

Poutine does not scale evenly

A Regular Classic Poutine is $5.99 and the Large $7.99 — a $2 step. But the loaded ones step by $3: Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Double Cheese are $7.99 regular and $10.99 large, and Chicken Bacon Ranch is $9.19 and $12.19. That $12.19 large is the second most expensive item on the menu, behind only twelve Buffalo Chicken Nuggets at $12.29.

Chicken counts in fives, eights and twelves

Nuggets are $4.99, $7.99 and $11.99 for 5, 8 and 12 pieces; the Buffalo versions are $5.29, $8.29 and $12.29. The per-piece price barely moves, so there is no volume discount to chase here — it is close to a dollar a nugget at every count. Sandwiches are simpler: Crispy and Grilled Chicken at $7.99, Buffalo at $8.29, the four Chicken BLT variants at $9.29 or $9.59 for the wrap, and salads at $9.99 with the Buffalo at $10.29.

The drinks list is 37 lines and about six prices

Fountain drinks are $3.09 regular and $3.59 large no matter which of the seven Pepsi-family flavours you pick, and the "No Ice" variants are listed separately at the same money. Coffee and tea are $1.79, milk and chocolate milk $1.99, bottled water $2.39. Hand Spun Shakes are $3.79 regular and $4.59 large, except the SKOR shake at $4.29 and $5.09 and the OREO at $3.99. Slushies are $2.99 and $3.49 — apart from the Nerds version, which is $3.49 in both sizes.

At the bottom of the whole menu sit seven dipping sauces, every one of them $0.40.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Harvey's runs on a franchise model and menu boards are set restaurant by restaurant, so highway service centres and downtown units usually price above a suburban store. Every figure here is pre-tax, and what you hand over depends on your province. The comparisons are the useful part regardless of where you are: the fixed 80-cent premium on Angus, the $2 versus $3 step on plain and loaded poutine, and the flat per-nugget price at every count.
