Wendy’s Menu Prices In Canada

There is one number that explains almost the whole Wendy's lunch menu in Canada: $4.40. Every single one of the 13 items in the Combos section costs exactly $4.40 more than the same sandwich ordered on its own — no exceptions, from the $2-something end to the $15.19 Dave's Triple combo at the top.

Line the two sections up and the pattern is exact. Dave's Single is $7.19 in Cheeseburgers and $11.59 in Combos. Dave's Double: $8.99 and $13.39. Baconator: $10.39 and $14.79. Bacon Deluxe 1⁄4 lb. Single: $7.89 and $12.29. Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Classic Chicken Sandwich and Classic Chicken Strips are all $7.49 alone and $11.89 as a combo. The three Wrap Duos are $6.89 and $11.29. Whatever you start from, the fries and the drink are billed at the same flat $4.40.

Breakfast does not follow that rule, and the gap is smaller. Comparing the Breakfast Combos section against Croissants, Biscuits, Classics and Breakfast Wraps, the step runs between $2.90 and $3.20 — a Bacon, Egg & Swiss Croissant is $4.79 on its own and $7.89 combined, an Egg & Cheese Biscuit is $3.29 and $6.19, the Breakfast Baconator is $6.49 and $9.69. Eight of the 18 sections on this menu are breakfast sections, which is why the morning side of the list is the more detailed half.

The bottom of the price list

116 of the 173 items are under $5, and the floor is a Frosty: the Jr. Chocolate and Jr. Vanilla Frosty are $1.09 each. Above them the Frosty ladder is $2.09 medium, $2.89 large and $3.19 for the largest cup. Kid's French Fries at $1.69 and the two Honest Kids juices at $1.89 are the only other items under $2.

The cheapest thing that works as a meal is in Cheeseburgers, where a Jr. Hamburger Deluxe and a Cheesy Cheddarburger are both $2.29 and a Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe or Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger is $2.49. Wendy's groups eight of these low-priced items into a section called Quality Choices, all of them between $2.49 and $3.49 — the Double Stack, the Double Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, a 6-Piece Crispy Chicken Nuggets and a Small Poutine each land on $3.49.

Where the calories are published

Most items on this menu carry a calorie figure, and a few of the readings are worth knowing before you order rather than after. The Breakfast Baconator combo is listed at 940 calories, a Full-size Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty at 490, Bacon Poutine at 700 and a Large French Fries at 470. All four Fresh-Made Salads cost the same $10.49 and sit between 490 and 670 calories.

Poutine appears twice on the Canadian menu with a $1.60 gap between sizes — $3.49 small, $5.09 large — and a Bacon Poutine at $5.99. Only 20 of 173 items cross $10, and every one of them is either a combo, a Baconator, a triple-patty burger or a salad.

Do prices vary across Canada?

Wendy's restaurants across Canada are largely franchised, so the operator of the location you walk into sets the shelf price. Downtown, airport and campus stores tend to sit above the figures shown here, and provincial sales tax is added on top of every number on this page. The relationships hold better than the absolute values: the combo step and the size ladders behave the same way wherever you order.
